Stay warm and safe and see you all next year!

Moving Along With the Times - Challenge 79

The new challenge on the Moving Along With the Times Challenge Blog is 'birthday and circles' so I've made a circular easel card using one of the new stamps from Little Claire Designs called Georgia. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then layered it on to a pink scalloped mat and then on to the base card which I've covered with paper from The English Paper Company. I've added a Craftwork Cards greeting (on a small scalloped mat) and some paper flowers coloured with Promarkers to match my image.

C is for Camellia

The current challenge on the Anything Goes Challenge Blog is to make a card which relates to the letter 'C'. This is a birthday card I made yesterday using one of my favourite Little Claire Designs floral stamps of camellias, coloured with Promarkers. I've kept it very simple using a scalloped mat underneath, some black peel off dots and peel off greeting.

I Love Promarkers Challenge 46

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I'm making the most of my time off work this week to get some card making done, starting with birthday cards for January. The image I've used on this card is from C&C Designs - I've coloured it with Promarkers. The paper is from Craft Creations and I've coloured the little paper flowers to match my main image. I'd like to enter this card is the current challenge on I Love Promarkers which is 'anything goes'.

Moving Along With the Times Challenge Blog

Here's another birthday card, this time made using a stamp from Cuddly Buddly. I've used a floral embossing folder for the background on pink card and then two pieces of ribbon across it. I've die cut the image into a circle and added a black paper scallop behind it. The greeting and the little dots are peel offs. I'm entering this card in the current challenge on Moving Along With the Times which is 'anything goes (no Christmas cards allowed'.

Charisma Cardz - Challenge 50

The theme on Charisma Cardz this week is 'New Year Celebrations' and here is my card for the challenge. My image is from Magnolia and I've coloured with with Promarkers and then die cut it into a circle. I've used green card with one of my Cuttlebug folders for one side of the background and some Basic Grey paper for the other side.

Let it Snow ....

This card is made with another Little Claire Designs stamp called 'Will He Find Us?' which I've had for just over a year - I know I had it last Christmas! It's good for making cards because there isn't much colouring to do!! I've die cut it into a circle and then covered my base card in Craft Creations paper and added some silver line peel offs. I'm entering this in three challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - one for the kids
Oldie But Goodie - You're a Star

Non-Traditional Christmas Card

The image on this card is from Wild Rose Studio - and I've coloured it with Promarkers and then die cut it into an oval and layered it onto a slightly bigger black oval. The paper is left over from last year - can't remember where it's from - and I've added a greeting from Craftwork Cards and some black dots. I'm entering this in two challenges which have 'non-traditional Christmas' as their themes this week - Corrosive Challenge and Cupcake Craft Challenge.

We Three Cats ....

Here's another Christmas card - this one is made using the 'We Three Cats' stamp from Little Claire Designs. The cats have been coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto red and green card with little red peel off dots at each corner of the image. My backing paper is from DCWV and the greeting is also from Little Claire Designs. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Pear Tree Designs - Christmas
Crafty Purple Frog - Christmas

Keep It Simple - Season's Greetings

This card is made with one of the gorgeous Pink Gem stamps - so easy to colour and really cute. I've used a silver gel pen on the star and Promarkers for the rest of the image. The backing card is from my stash - not sure which company it's from and I've also used silver paper and a silver "Season's Greetings" message from Craftwork Cards.

Crafty Purple Frog - Challenge 4

I found the Crafty Purple Frog Challenge Blog when I was blog browsing last week and spotted that their current challenge is to make an easel card - probably my favourite style of card at the moment! I've made my card using a Lili of the Valley image and papers from Craft Creations. I've added some red star gems and a greeting from Craftwork Cards.

A Little Bird Told Me .....

I've made this card using another stamp from Little Claire Designs - I've paper pieced the her hat and coat and used the same paper (from a Kars pad) on the main part of the card. I've added a paper flower coloured with my poppy Promarker and some nail head gems. I'm entering this card in the current challenge at Totally Papercrafts which is paper piecing.

Last Minute Christmas

Yes, I'm still making Christmas cards! These three are made using Urban Belles toppers from Kanban and paper from Doodlebug. I'm entering them in the the Allsorts challenge where the theme is very appropriately 'last minute Christmas'.

Star of Wonder

This card has been made with a stamp called Star of Wonder from Little Claire Designs. It's been coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto silver paper and a snowflake blue paper from Craft Creations. I've added a peel off greeting and some peel off dots. This is one of my quick 'last minute' cards made with a decoupage topper from Kanban - I think they're really cute! I've added some gold paper round the topper image, paper from Dovecraft and some peel off dots. The sentiment was included on the sheet with the topper. I'm entering the card in the current challenge at Crafty Creations which is 'a beary project'.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 142

And this is my card for this week's challenge on Cute Card Thursday where the theme is 'floral frenzy'. This card is made using a stamp which is part of the 'All Set Up for Christmas' set which is available here. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto a scalloped circle. My background papers are from Dovecraft and I've added some gold line peel offs along the edges of the middle strip of paper. I've finished it with some red peel off dots.

Moving Along With the Times - Challenge 76

The theme this week on the Moving Along With the Times blog is 'lots of spots'. My card has been made using one of the new stamps from Little Claire Designs which is available here - it's called "I'll Be There for You". I've coloured my design with Promarkers and cut a circular easel card as my base. The paper is from Doodlebug and the little flower has been coloured with the Poppy Promarker to match the main image.

Christmas Teddy

I've used a Lili of the Valley image for this card - the first time I've used this one from the sheet I bought and I think he's gorgeous! The paper I've used is from DCWV and I've also used some red ribbon and a greeting from Craftwork Cards. I'm entering this in two challenges:
Teddy Stampers - Christmas teddies

Oldie But Goodie - Challenge 7

The current challenge on Oldie But Goodie is winter birthdays. My stamp on this card is from Whiff of Joy and is at least a year old as I know I had it last Christmas too! I've used unusual colours for me but I picked out this paper and wanted to fit the image with it. The paper is from Basic Grey and I've added a greeting from Craftwork Cards and some paper flowers coloured to coordinate with my image.

By the Cute and Girly - December Challenge

This month's challenge on By the Cute and Girly is children so I thought I'd use one of my Elzybells stamps called 'Santa's Little Helpers' - a really little cutie! I've used paper from DCWV from last Christmas (I have a huge Christmas paper stash!), some red ribbon and some nail head gems.

Friday 3 December 2010

Cute Card Thursday - The Blues

The theme this week on Cute Card Thursday is "the blues" - cards made with a blue theme. For my card I've used an image from Nutcrafters called 'Snowfall'. It's been coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto a navy card scalloped oval and on to blue spotty paper. The paper is left over from last Christmas and I'm not sure where it came from! I've added a strip of card down one side, some white peel offs and a blue snowflake brad.

Still Having Lots of Fun - Part 1

Lots of Fun - Part 1

The new December club stamps are now available here from Little Claire Designs. There are two cute elephant stamps together with some sentiments and the set is called 'Lots of Fun'. This is my first card made with the set using a die cut easel card and a peel off sentiment also from Little Claire Designs. I've decoupaged the elephant on this one to give some extra dimension and added a couple of little paper flowers to the base of the card.

Lots of Fun - Part 2

Here's my second card made with the new 'Lots of Fun' stamp set from Little Claire Designs. I've used the oval Amazing Frames dies available here to cut the base for this card and then using Craft Creations paper and some navy card behind my stamped image. The sentiment is included in the set and I've die cut a smaller oval round this to use as the 'stopper' on the base of my card.

Here's another Christmas card I've made using one of the gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamps. The image has been coloured with Promarkers, the papers are from Dovecraft and the little circular greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

A Blog Award from Maria

It's been a mad busy and stressful week at work (and I've had to bring a pile of work home with me too) so it was a lovely surprise to find that Maria had left this lovely award for me on her blog. And what's even better is that this award comes with a free gift - the full details are on the Digis With Attitude Challenge Blog. To qualify, I need to say three things about myself that make me different from everyone else (only 3?!) and then pass this award on to three other blogs. So here goes -
1. In the 'real world' I'm a solicitor specialising in divorce and childcare work
2. I'm a Soroptimist
3. I love ironing!
And here are my five blogs -

WOYWW - Week 75

Here's a photo of my desk for this week's WOYWW. You can see the sheet of LOTV stamps that I've finally got round to using and the card in progress is the one that I've just posted a photo of today. You can also see my trusty cassette hole punch, my punch collection and some snowflake brads (I used three of these on the card I posted yesterday). My black Versafine pad is there too - I use this on every card I make embossed with the detail fine powder that you can also see. Will try and leave as many comments as I can for everyone else but it may be tomorrow before I get round very many blogs!

Christmas Shopping

This is the first card that I've made with my new LOTV stamps - I bought a sheet of four designs a little while back and have been meaning to use them ever since! I've made an easel card using papers from Do Crafts. a white snowflake and a paper flower coloured to match my image.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and a silver gel pen and then stamped the central star again on silver pearl paper, cute it out and placed it over the main image. The background was made from Whitewash cardstock which I ran through my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and then sanded. I've added three snowflake brads and a greeting from Craftwork Cards. I'm entering the card in the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar - snow or snowflakes

A Little Bird Told Me - New from Little Claire Designs

November's club stamp from Little Claire Designs is now on their website here - a very cute little girl and tiny bird and also the words 'a little bird told me .... it's your birthday" which you can see on the second and third cards I've made. For this first card I've used the stamp to make a Christmas card - my background paper is from Craft Creations and the peel off greeting is from Little Claire Designs. I've punched some silver snowflakes for the four corners and used an oval and scalloped oval die to cut out the main image. I'm entering this card in two challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Christmas, traditional or modern
One Stop Craft - anything goes

A Little Bird Told Me - Part 2

This is the second card that I've made from the new "A Little Bird Told Me" stamp set - it's an easel card made using papers from Dovecraft and I made it as a winter birthday card. I've also used green Nailhead gems at the corner of the image panel to finish it and backed this and the greeting panel onto green card.
I'm entering this card in the current challenge on Moving Along With the Times which is to make a card for a child.

A Little Bird Told Me - Part 3

This is the third card that I made using the new "A Little Bird Told Me" stamp set - both the main image and the words are from the set. I have paper pieced the little girl's coat and hat using the same paper as I used on my base card (from Dovecraft). The base card is an easel card which I cut away at one side to make a slightly different shape. I've added some punched flowers and some black peel off lines on the base.
I'm entering this card in this week's Stamp Something blog challenge which is to stamp something with some pink.

Pear Tree Designs - Second Entry

This is my second entry for the "Free for All" challenge on Pear Tree Designs. The image is from the Pansies set made by Papermania as is the sentiment. I've coloured it with Promarkers and used some green and purple card for the background.

One Stitch at a Time - Challenge 35

This is my card for the current challenge on One Stitch at a Time which is "Embellish It". I'm not that good at putting embellishments on my cards and I always worry that too much on them will look a bit overdone but I do use paper flowers quite a bit, usually coloured with Promarkers as I have for this card. My other favourite is punched paper dots - as you can see! The image I've used for this card is one of the SWALK range from Crafters Companion and my background paper is from Dovecraft.

Decorating the Tree

This is another Christmas card which I've made today for three different challenges. The image is from Elzybells, coloured with Promarkers. The background papers are from Doodlebug and the circular greeting from Craftwork Cards.
I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Pear Tree Designs - challenge 22 "Free for All"
Moving Along With the Times - challenge 69 - "Use Promarkers - Anything Goes" sponsored this week by Letraset

Anything Goes Challenge Blog Week 21

The theme on the Anything Goes Challenge Blog this week is black and white so I thought I'd make a Christmas card using one of my favourite Christmas stamps bought a couple of years ago. The stamp is from a company called Inkwell Stamps who make some lovely images. I've kept the card simple with black and white layers, an oval and scalloped oval die cut and some black peel off dots.

Charisma Cardz Challenge Week 41

Here is my card for this week's challenge on the Charisma Cardz which is "More than One Fold". I've used a stamped image from Wild Rose Studio, coloured with Promarkers and backing papers from Dovecraft. The 'stopper' on the base of the card is from Craftwork Cards.
The base card was made by folding an easel card and then cutting away a portion of the folded part - just a little bit different to a standard easel card.

A Blog Award from Maria

Many thanks to Maria for another blog award and for cheering me up at the end of a stressful few days at work!
I have to pass the award on to fifteen other people so my list is:

WOYWW - Week 71

Here's my photo for this week's WOYWW showing a card in progress and some of my recently purchased items. The card is an iris folded one - it's just waiting for a border to be added using black straight line peel offs and a greeting in the bottom right hand corner. My sheet of iris folding patterns is underneath the card. To the side of that sheet you can see my new stamp from Craft Individuals as well as my new Basic Grey Christmas Cuttlebug folders and on the other side two of the stamps I bought with my gift voucher from Nutcrafters for winning one of their challenge blogs.
